Lucasfilm and Vera Bradley to launch new Star Wars collection this May

There are plenty of ways to wear a galaxy far, far away. Brands such as Her Universe as well as small businesses selling Star Wars-inspired apparel give fans endless options when it comes to deciding how to rep their favorite fandom at home and on the go. And now, for the first time ever, Vera Bradley and Lucasfilm have joined forces to bring you a whole new way to make Star Wars fashionable.

Launching this May, the all-new Star Wars | Vera Bradley collection pairs the fabric and patterns Vera Bradley is known for with familiar symbols and characters Star Wars fans will instantly recognize and adore — including the Rebel Alliance insignia, Princess Leia, and more.

“We paid very close attention to maintaining authentic Star Wars details,” design VP of Vera Bradley Kerry Hasselbach told StarWars.com, “depicting characters and the colors attached to them as accurately as possible, while balancing the color placements throughout the print to ensure the handbags and accessories are joyful and wearable.”

This is not the only May the Fourth collection we are likely to hear about in the weeks leading up to Star Wars Day. Historically, brands across a variety of products and interests release collectibles, wearables, and the like to celebrate a galaxy far, far away. We might know about a few we’re not allowed to tell you about yet. Patience.
