After Temuera Morrison’s Boba Fett and Ming-Na Wing’s Fennec Shand ended the debut of their hit series The Book of Boba Fett there has been a certain amount of speculation about where we may see these characters again. While there has not been any direct confirmation of a second season of the series, my colleague Meg Dowell covers the details and what-ifs on that possibility. That being said if you wanted more one-on-one time with the characters face to face you now have that chance.

Galaxy’s Edge at the Disney parks has had highs and lows, with one critique that they have only been utilizing characters seen in the newer sequel movies. Now Disney has stated that they will be expanding that cast to include Boba Fett, Fennec Shand, and presumable an animatronic Grogu (or Baby Yoda if you prefer). This marks an interesting step toward the future, but also raises a few questions about the possibility of seeing other characters also appearing at the parks.

Before we get to those, it is important to cover Fennec’s appearance, especially as it relates to Ming-Na Wing. For those who don’t know she has completed the Disney trifecta by performing as the voice actress of Mulan in the original Mulan movie, staring as Agent May in Agents of Sheild, and of course Fennec Shand. We see the actress has frequently spoken out about her love of the Star Wars universe and has even appeared as the voice actress for Fennec in the amazing animated series Bad BatchIn fact, Disney parks had already utilized her to promote their “Batuu excursion” in a promotional video last December. It is always nice when the actress enjoys playing the character and the universe that they appear in.

That brings us back to the question of who else might appear. For instance, why hasn’t the helmeted Din Djarin been cast to play his role as the character? Similar to Boba Fett this is mostly just a man in the suit. Is it some sort of clerical oversight, or does it say more about what may be happening when the next season of The Mandalorian drops?
