With every new Star Wars TV show comes a handful of new actors — many of them brand-new to the Star Wars universe entirely. O’Shea Jackson Jr. made his debut in Obi-Wan Kenobi this week, and took to Twitter to express his gratitude for being where so many wish they could stand.

The actor’s first on-screen credit was as one of multiple production assistants on a project. This week, he and the rest of the world got to see himself credited as an actor in a Disney+ series. A Star Wars series, even.  #Goals.

He posted photos of both credits to show where his career began and what it’s led to. In-between, he’s had acting credits on multiple TV series. Now, he gets to be in a Star War alongside Ewan McGregor. He plays Roken, and so far, he’s nailing it.

“How it started/how it’s going,” he tweeted along with the above side-by-side photos. “God is Great.”

Roken is a smuggler working undercover for The Path, assisting Tala and others in helping Force-sensitives stay out of the Empire’s line of sight. He reveals to Obi-Wan that his wife was found by Inquisitors and is reluctant to help him rescue Leia. But he agrees — and according to O’shea Jackson Jr.’s IMDb page, Roken’s story isn’t over; he’s set to appear in the final two episodes of the series as well.

From there, we can possibly assume Obi-Wan won’t separate from the members of the Path as quickly as he might want to. It’s unclear the exact role Roken will play in the rest of Obi-Wan’s journey, but this is one of many ways the show’s story excels. We don’t know where it’s going. The only thing left to be is surprised.

Obi-Wan Kenobi stars Ewan McGregor with appearances by Hayden Christensen and Kumail Nanjiani and is directed by Deborah Chow, who previously directed an episode of The Mandalorian. The series is streaming now exclusively on Disney+.
