Warning: This article contains spoilers from Obi-Wan Kenobi Episode 3.

During Episode 3 of Obi-Wan Kenobi, there was a lot of information about a large number of escaping Jedi that had escaped through the Underground Railroad-style network. One of these Jedi was mentioned by Obi-Wan, in the form of Quinlan Vos. But his name was not the only one in that safe house, and a few Legends treats were written in Aurebesh as easter egg cameos.

Who are the Legends Jedi hidden in episode 3?

The three Legends era Jedi are Djinn Altis, Roganda Ismaren, and Valin Halcyon (better known as Hal Horn, father of Corran Horn). Each of these Jedi has different trajectories, and some of them were more active than others. For example, Valin Halcyon’s role was primarily limited to his role in the Corellian Security Force and fathering his child Corran Horn.

Corran would later go on to become a member of the Rogue Squadron as we say in Michael A. Stackpole’s Rogue Squadron series. Roganda Ismaren is a Jedi initiate from Alderaan who eventually become the Emperor’s Hand and claims to have a son with Palpatine (Rey Palpatine anyone?).

Lastly, there is Djinn Altis. Djinn Altis was a Jedi Master who founded the splinter group of Jedi known as the Altisian Jedi who broke away from the Jedi Order which allowed their survival for a short time after Order 66.

Will they return to canon?

That would be the million-dollar question, but two of them seem extremely unlikely. Both the Roganda Ismaren and Djinn Altis storylines are currently completely contradictory to what the current canon is focused on, and they probably were just cameo. Even if they were to be introduced it doesn’t seem like any of the upcoming projects that we are aware of could bring them in.

Valin Halcyon’s story is different, however. Not only has the Disney canon expanded upon the Rogue Squadron history, but one of the upcoming movies we have is Patty Jenkin’s Rogue Squadron movie.

It wouldn’t be too hard to imagine that the series will draw from the plethora of Rogue Squadron-related books and bring this hesitant force user back into canon. Oh yea, and that kind we saw in episode two who got transport off the planet, his name was Corran.

Cameos and Easter Eggs like these are always interesting and it is a nice touch from the writers to include these for the more experienced fans. We can only hope that these little Legends cameos translate into something bigger to bring some of our favorite stories back into canon.
