The annual San Diego Comic-Con is about one month away, and Funko has officially revealed its convention-specific releases. Two Star Wars Pop! figures are on the horizon, and you’ll want to grab them whether you’re attending the event in-person or not.
This week, Gizmodo was the first to announce two brand-new SDCC exclusives coming soon. We haven’t seen much of these characters on the small screen yet, but they’re still getting the iconic figures they deserve.
Black Krrsantan will officially get the Funko Pop! treatment after making his on-screen debut in The Book of Boba Fett earlier this year. The character first appeared in Marvel comics, making his entrance in Darth Vader #1 in 2015.
A Purge Trooper Funko Pop! will also debut at the convention. These troopers made their first appearance in Jedi: Fallen Order and were most recently seen among the Inquisitors in Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Krrsantan (#548) and Purge Trooper (#533) aren’t the only Comic-Con 2022 exclusives heading to the convention, however. New Funko Pop! figures from franchises like Stranger Things and Squid Game, among many other pop culture favorites, will make their debut in July. No matter your fandom(s), you should be able to pick up some Pop! figures to satisfy your cravings.
Many other Star Wars Funko Pop! figures outside these convention exclusives are also on the way. Funko’s Power of the Galaxy series has already announced and opened pre-orders for brand-new figures of Padmé Amidala and Sabine Wren, with four more figures in the six-release series to be announced in the months to come. Obi-Wan Wednesdays has also announced a handful of Pop! figures in the past several weeks, including figures of Roken, Reva, and yet another Darth Vader Pop! to add to the ever-growing collection.
