Even though Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi is a limited series — meaning there likely won’t be more episodes made for Disney+ that continue the specific story told in the show — that doesn’t mean we’re done with the adventure quite yet.
On Disney+ Day September 8, the streaming platform will premiere an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the making of the series, featuring interviews from some of the creators responsible for bringing the show to life on the small screen.
What goes into creating a Star Wars limited series with such high stakes? Bringing back not only a legacy character (or two), but also the actors responsible for giving them life in the prequel films, is no small feat. It was up to series director Deborah Chow and her team to tell a story that re-contextualized many of the things fans knew about the larger Star Wars story. It was also important to weave in new characters to further strengthen the classic themes of the franchise in a fresh and exciting way.
A Jedi’s Return will open viewers’ eyes to how all this and more came together to create a story fans are still talking about months after its epic conclusion.

This seems to be the show’s version of the Disney Gallery episodes that have previously released following seasons of other Disney+ Star Wars shows. While there won’t likely be any surprise announcements about more Obi-Wan live-action stories accompanying this documentary, it will no doubt be filled with all the behind-the-scenes info, stories, and insights Star Wars fans and viewers of the show are going to love.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi’s return will premiere on September 8 exclusively on Disney+.
