Disney+ Day continued the hype train for the upcoming series, Andor, by releasing a nine-minute sneak peek on the streaming service as announced by StarWars.com.

It seems this is the same first look at the series that was released in the August 26th IMAX re-release. The short has executive producer and creator Tony Gilroy and star of Andor, Diego Luna, discussing the show. There are a ton of great behind-the-scenes shots as well showcasing the scale of the production. Viewers will also get to see a scene of the tense potential first meeting between Cassian and Stellan Skarsgård’s character, Luthen Rael. It ends with a trailer for the series. You can see all of this on Disney+.

It is fantastic to be able to watch this sneak peek on Disney+ for anyone who wasn’t able to attend the IMAX re-release. Though with Rogue One coming back into theaters today for a limited run, it’s unknown at this time if the same sneak peek will still be in this run of the theatrical re-release.

Rogue One’s return to theaters and the preview video weren’t the only reveals on StarWars.com. A behind-the-scenes documentary about the making of Obi-Wan Kenobi also premiered. They also showcased upcoming in-game bonuses for the free mobile game Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes with Cassian which will release on September 21st, the same day that Andor premieres. There was so much more so check out the full list over on StarWars.com.

Disney+ Day began in 2021 to celebrate the anniversary of the launch of the streaming service. It’s become a day for the company to release trailers for upcoming projects, make announcements, and also have special limited-time deals on the service. Right now Disney+ is offering $1.99 for the first month for those who wish to sign up.

This isn’t the end of all of the possible big Star Wars announcements this week with D23 this weekend from September 9-11. Check back with Dork Side of the Force for all the upcoming coverage.

Andor will premier exclusively on Disney+ with its first three episodes on September 21.
