After rumors and leaked trailers from Star Wars Celebration 2022, Star Wars fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of the trailer for the third season of The Mandalorian.

The wait is finally over and Disney released the trailer on Sept. 10, 2022.

The Mandalorian Season 3 Trailer

What can we expect?

This trailer is full of absolutely amazing tidbits including the return of Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan Kryze, and Carl Weathers as Greef Karga. We see Din Djarin flying around in his modified Nabiaun starfighter along with Grogu seemingly as a happy family but that is far from what this season looks to be shaping out to be. Importantly we see Din flying on Mandalore above the ruined dome of Sundari (the capital city of Mandalore). Then the trailer cuts to a shot of Bo-Katan sitting in the ruined throne mroom once held by his sister, the Duchess Satine, and Darth Maul. The throne room is still a dreary place and it seems that Bo-Katan blames Deathwatch for the fracturing of Mandalore and seeks revenge against Din Djarin’s former compatriots.

On a more amusing note, we see the return of Babu Frik and Peli Motto. Babu seems to have crafted a few gadgets or even an astromech for Din so it seems that he is finally making some real progress connecting to other droids.

Overall the whole trailer is action-packed, with jet packs and armor galore. This season is set up to be one of the most intense seasons of Star Wars TV yet and it has a lot to look forward to.

When is the next season coming out?

The Mandalorian season 3 is set to come out in February 2023. So far we do not have an episode count, but given the last season was eight episodes we can expect that this season will be at least that many episodes. It will be streaming exclusively on Disney+, as with all Star Wars content.
