2023 is going to be a huge year for Star Wars content with an unprecedented six projects slated to release. Here are all of the television shows on the schedule:
The Bad Batch Season 2: January 4th
All our favorite clones are returning for the second season of The Bad Batch. The upcoming season will take place a few months after the events of the intense season finale. The trailer revealed that the gang are back to their old mischief, planning heists and missions for Syd. As the Empire grows in strength, they begin to wonder whether they should be fighting the injustice they see around them.
The Mandalorian Season 3: March 1st
We last saw Din and Grogu in the finale of The Book of Boba Fett, reunited after Grogu left Luke Skywalker’s Jedi training school. This season is set to explore the politics and conflicts on Mandalore, as Din struggles with the implications of his upbringing with the Children of the Watch cult. The show will also reunite us with many of the Mandolorian’s old friends like Greef Karga and Peli Motto.
Young Jedi Adventures: TBA
Not much information has been released about the upcoming show, but parents can celebrate that its intended audience is young children. The show will look at Younglings, who will learn important life lessons during their Jedi training. A central message of the show will emphasize important Jedi values such as self-control and empathy.
Visions Volume 2: TBA
If the first volume is any indication, there is no way to predict what the upcoming season of Visions will bring. As an anthology collection, the stories told in the show are unique and varied. This time, the creators of the episodes will hail from a variety of places around the world. While the first volume highlighted stories from Japan, the new episodes will bring perspectives from every continent.
Ahsoka: TBA
While countless theories for the plot of Ahsoka have circulated the internet, official sources have not announced any major information about the show’s plot. As evidenced from The Mandolorian season 2, we know that Ahsoka is searching for Grand Admiral Thrawn, leading to suspicions that the show will follow her search for Ezra Bridger, the hero of Rebels. A trailer for the 2023 Disney+ lineup provided our first glimpse of the show, but fans of the titular heroine remain uncertain of the direction the show will take.
Skeleton Crew: TBA
This new show is a bit of an enigma, as the majority of the information has been kept hidden from fans. Jude Law will star in the show, accompanied by a group of children who have become lost somewhere in the Star Wars galaxy.
