We are officially just under a month away until the premiere of The Mandalorian Season 3! We’ve been waiting on this release for years now, now it’s pretty safe to say that we’re all ready and raring to go! Let’s take a look at what we could potentially expect from the new season and why the trailer set us up for a fantastic season!
So far, we’ve been seriously blessed with just how freaking amazing all of these Disney+ Star Wars shows are! From Obi-Wan Kenobi, the first two seasons of The Mandalorian, and so so much more, we are definitely set up for some amazing content to come, and also some great content that we get to look back on as well.
Recently the official and final new trailer for The Mandalorian Season 3 came out and there is so much to talk about, so here we go in no particular order!
1. Returning to Mandalore
From the beginning of the trailer, we see that Mando and Baby Yoda (Grogu) return to where it all began, on the planet of Mandalore. This is super special because this is where their journey as pals all began back in Season 1. Seeing them walk back onto that planet for the first time is definitely going to feel super nostalgic, and I personally cannot wait. We also see some rainbow-colored Mandalorians, so that’ll be super interesting to see and learn much more about them. It also almost feels final in a way too; it’s almost as if their journey together or the show as a whole will come to an end. Thoughts?
2. Baby Yoda’s Potential for NEW Super Powers
As we’ve already seen in the other two proceeding seasons of The Mandalorian, Baby Yoda has his ways with The Force. From stopping a sand creature from attacking Mando, stealing a classmates cookies, and being obsessed with that tiny metal ball, it’s definitely clear that Baby Yoda has The Force so deep within him. In the trailer, we see him freaking launch an enemy into the sky during what we hope is a pretty epic battle involving both Baby Yoda and Mando.
At the end of Season 2, Luke Skywalker comes to take Baby Yoda and further train him with his ways and teachings of The Force; however, as we see from The Book of Boba Fett, he ultimately decides to train by the ways of The Mandalorian training. I wonder how any of that decision making, if any at all, will play into this brand new upcoming season. Thoughts?
3. We See Fireworks…And Lots of Them
In the trailer, Baby Yoda is seen looking up at the sky while some pretty epic-looking fireworks are going on. We can’t really see much else in the trailer (obviously speaking) or else a pretty big scene would be spoiled. Hopefully, these fireworks are in celebration of Mando and Baby Yoda winning!
4. The Capital Building
We do notice The Capital Building on Coruscant in the trailer. Why would Mando be somewhere like here (when in reality, we haven’t really seen him on other places in the previous two seasons)? When we see The Capital Building in the trailer, we hear a voice say that this is a very dangerous place, but we’re not quite sure who’s voice that is. Any ideas? What’s going to happen here?
5. Dr. Pershing
He’s baaaaack! However, this isn’t necessarily someone what we’d want to see come back! He’s the one who was seen and eventually caught using Baby Yoda’s blood to do his best and try to make clones that we’re rich in midi-chlorians (hosting The Force). Maybe Dr. being there and Mando being at The Capital Building will produce a sort of storyline that we never knew we needed. Hopefully, if those two particular characters are brought together this season, the good guy comes out alive…and winning too, of course!
6. Order 66
Obviously speaking, this isn’t something that any of us want to see or relive again. However, in the trailer, there is a super brief scene with a bunch of Jedi. The image from the trailer that literally everyone is talking about stems from a super quick shot from The Book of Boba Fett, where we get a time little glimpse of of Baby Yoda’s memory of Order 66. I hope that The Mandalorian Season 3 allows us to see just how Baby Yoda got out alive and prove his bada**ery even further!
7. Grogu’s (Hopefully) Epic Final Battle
During the final moments of the trailer, we see Baby Yoda float out of a little cave in his pod. Some sort of freaky-looking alien creature drops down from the sky. If I were Baby Yoda, I probably would’ve s*** myself, but nope not him! You see his tiny little hands and even tinier little fingers using the ways of The Force. Then we hear Mando say “This is the way” and the trailer cuts!
That’s a wrap on our analysis and mini breakdown of why the Mando S3 trailer promises to deliver an amazing season ahead of us!
What are your thoughts on The Mandalorian S3 trailer? Is Baby Yoda doomed? What about Mando? Let’s talk all about that and so so much more down in the comments below! Only 13 more days to go, but who’s counting…not me (totally me, actually)! And as always…….May The Force Be With You ALL!
