It’s no secret that some people are still all hot and cold about the more recent trilogy of Star Wars movies within The Skywalker Saga. If you think that those were different, then just wait and hold your judgements because there’s a brand new batch of Star Wars films coming out and they will absolutely change everything that we already know about the franchise as a whole.

Are you ready for all of these changes to come with the new Star Wars films?

As you all may know, as announced at Star Wars Celebration 2023 over in Europe, there will be tons of new and different changes coming into this beloved universe in the coming several years. With not one, not two, but three new movies announced at said convention, it’s certainly no secret whatsoever that some new and updated changes will be seen and brand new ideas will be visited, with some bringing some universal stories to a close.

People were starting to believe that, after not having a brand new film since The Rise of Skywalker back in 2019 and after some recent movie-related projects have failed/have been cancelled, the Star Wars universe as a whole just simply wouldn’t be the same as it once was (truly beloved).

The three brand new films that are coming out will all have something new to do with a different sort of timeline. The first movie is set to be happening 25,000 years (yes, you read that correctly) before the OG triology kick-off, A New Hope. To me, it’s actually pretty hard to believe seeing a movie set to far in advance; however, with a SW Celebration-confirmed title like Dawn of the Jedi, it just has to be good, just like we know and believe that it truly will be.

The second of the three films will essentially be “closing out” The Mandalorian.

The third and final one of these three brand new films will actually focus on one of the franchise’s most beloved characters, Rey Skywalker, presumably set 15 years post-The Rise of Skywalker and all of the events that have said followed from that.

There is also a brand new show that will be coming to Disney+ called The Acolyte that is set to highlight the Golden Age of the Jedi that is set a whole entire century before the prequel films. Here’s what was said about The Acolyte in a recent interview highlighting the universe’s future:

"“The Acolyte might be another Jedi show, but it’s also one from Leslye Headland, the Russian Doll creator who pitched the show as “Frozen meets Kill Bill from the perspective of the bad guys.”"

To me personally, this whole show (The Acolyte) truly sounds like something that I’d enjoy! Thoughts?

That’s a wrap on the how the future of the Star Wars universe is set to change just about anything and everything that we truly already know! Let us all be reminded that this is brand new content and topics/subjects that will be talked about, so we should ALL be patient in learning the brand new stories!
