Unfortunately, we’ve got some sad news for you all…Disney is going to be officially closing their Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel…for good. The Walt Disney World ‘attraction’ will unfortunately be taking it’s final journey into space in late September. The hotel that normally would cost $5,000/two night stay per couple will be closing it’s doors, which is definitely making some fans upset, while some fans are hopeful for the future that something else might come to be later on.

Disney is officially closing the Galactic Starcruiser hotel! What are your thoughts on such a tragedy?

Here’s what Disney had to say all about their decision on this in a statement down below:

"“Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is one of our most creative projects ever and has been praised by our guests and recognized for setting a new bar for innovation and immersive entertainment…we will take what we’ve learned to create future experiences that can reach more of our guests and fans.”"

The hotel originally announced back in 2017. Employees were notified of said closure last Thursday morning. Although up until that point, reservations were being made and available thru December of this year, unfortunately, the hotel will officially be closing it’s doors on September 28th, 2023. But don’t worry if you had a reservation after said ‘official’ closure date! Disney and the hotel will be offering those who made and have reservations priority offerings to get their dates moved up and reservations changed to an earlier date. It still does kinda suck though because I’m sure that some people booked this hotel immersive experience for a Star Wars Lovers’ birthday month, date, or whatever and will be truly bummed to know that it’ll now be changed and different. I would be if it were me! But as long as you’re getting offered a change for free, take it!
