Just like there is tons of brand new Star Wars content coming out, there are also plenty of brand new characters that are coming out right along with it. Recently, there was a rumored new character that was officially confirmed and apparently, her name will say a lot about the future of the franchise as a whole…it might even be hinting at a plot twist.
Here’s what the brand new 2024 Star Wars character says about the future!
An up and coming 2024 Disney+ release, Acolyte, just got another actress that was confirmed to be in the cast: Abigail Thorn. Coming to the small screen for one of the first times ever, the whole timeline of the High Republic Era is coming to life. In this show, the future of Star Wars “lies in the past which ended a century before the Star Wars prequel trilogy”. This show will be set at the very end of said era and is “expected to set the scene for the fall of the Jedi”.
The brand new character that will be played by none other than recently joined actress, Abigail Thorn herself, is named Ensign Eurus. Now, we don’t know what sort of role that Thorn will have in this show exactly, but the name of her character alone may be giving some hints into the future of the franchise and where other movies and shows to come after it may be going as well. So far, there is very little to be known about Acolyte. As far as the plot goes, it “appears to involve Jedi almost stumbling on the existence of the Sith”.
What we do know about Ensign Eurus, is that she is a Republic Officer during the High Era. During this particular part in the timeline, there were two different types of Republic Officers: Pathfinders and Judicial Forces. While both interact with Jedi somewhere along the way, it’s also super important to note their differences. Pathfinders explored and traveled to the Outer Rim, usually somehow accompanied by some sort of Jedi. By this point in the timeline, it is rumored that those sort of trips and adventures have come and gone. The Judicial Forces were basically the peace keepers and back then the Republic’s version of having their very own army. The Judicial Forces also sometimes worked right alongside the Jedi as well.
Abigail Thorn’s character and name reveal might just be hinting at a timeline of conflict on the Outer Rim “that the Jedi stumble into”! Duh Duh Duh…..!!!!!!!
Hopefully we will know more soon because already our brain juices are flowing as well as the ideas as to what more we will see within this brand new show as well!
That’s a wrap on the brand new CONFIRMED Star Wars character coming out in 2024!
