Hera Syndulla is known for many wonderful qualities, and soon, her fans will get the chance to see her in live action for the first time in the new Ahsoka series. Whether you are hoping to revisit the moments where Hera shines or you want to introduce yourself to her character for the first time, here is a list of the best Hera episodes in Rebels to guide you.

Wings of the Master (Season 2, Episode 7)

Fans of Hera’s piloting skills will enjoy this episode where Hera must convince an engineer to give the Rebels access to a special B-wing fighter with a hyperdrive and better weaponry. The only way to retrieve the fighter is by visiting a planet renowned as a death trap for pilots. As she learns to fly this new ship, she also reveals where her interest in piloting first began.

Homecoming (Season 2, Episode 16)

Hera had a contentious relationship with her father, Cham, a famous rebel leader, for many years. In this episode, they are reunited for a mission to steal a cruiser-carrier ship. Her conversations with her father reveal Hera’s values and determination. She is a truly great leader as she faces the challenges of the heist. This episode not only includes some great Hera moments, but it gives more insight into her relationship with Kanan, as he clumsily tries to make a good impression on her father.

Hera’s Heroes (Season 3, Episode 5)

The Ghost crew encounters their most fearful enemy yet when Hera’s family heirloom is stolen by the Empire. Their mission to retrieve it leads Hera into the hands of Grand Admiral Thrawn, whose impressive military tactics have allowed him to overtake Hera’s childhood home. This episode provides fans the chance to see where Hera grew up and to learn about her culture. Her piloting skills and grace under pressure are also on display.

Rebel Assault Arc (Season 4, Episodes 9-11)

In this emotional arc, Hera is separated from her friends when her ship crashes during a battle. Disoriented and pursued by Imperial forces, Hera must protect herself as well as Chopper and a fellow pilot. Despite her best efforts, Hera finds herself once again facing Thrawn in a battle of wills. Her bravery shines in these episodes, both in the face of terrifying odds and a devastating loss.

Finale Arc (Season 4, Episodes 14-15)

The last episodes of the series can serve as the best approximation we have to who Hera will be when she appears in Ahsoka. After a heroic and thrilling final battle for the freedom of Lothal, an epilogue reveals details about Hera’s life after the end of the war against the Empire. These must-see episodes are a wonderful conclusion to a well-loved show, but they are vital to understanding Hera’s story.

For anyone looking forward to the premiere of Ahsoka, it’s time for a Rebels rewatch. While Hera’s character may have a larger role in this collection of episodes, it can’t hurt to explore some of the other fun episodes of the show before August 23!
