Star Wars may have dropped an official hint that Temeura Morrison is set to appear as Captain Rex in the Ahsoka series.

According to Den of Geek, the mobile game, Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes will include Captain Rex The game’s official website revealed a look at what Rex will look like in the game, and he looks exactly like Temeura Morrison.

It makes perfect sense for Rex to appear in the Ahsoka series because the two go back all the way to The Clone Wars. Rex has known Ahsoka since she was a kid and had just begun training with Anakin as a Padawan. They worked together throughout the war, and even in the final arc of the series, set on Mandalore. The two finally escaped together with their lives after Order 66, but went their separate ways.

However, that wasn’t the end of their friendship. Rex and Ahsoka met up again during Rebels and both made significant contributions to the Rebel Alliance. It would be interesting to see how their bond has evolved over the years, and to see how Rex is doing in the years following the fall of the Empire.

Temeura Morrison was last seen as a clone war veteran during a scene in Obi Wan Kenobi last year, as well as Boba Fett, son of Jango Fett, in The Book of Boba Fett. However, fans who’ve been waiting for an announcement of a second season of The Book of Boba Fett have been disappointed as that doesn’t seem to be on the cards. Morrison has also portrayed Jango Fett in the Star Wars prequels, therefore it makes sense to have the actor portray all of Jango’s clones who appear in live action.

Captain Rex is not only close friends with Ahsoka, but he’s pretty good friends with all the other members of the Ghost Crew as well. Members of the Ghost Crew will all be making their live action debut in Ahsoka, and hopefully fans who’ve been awaiting news of more Temeura in Star Wars will have something to look forward to in the series.

Ahsoka premieres August 23 on Disney+.
