The last few episodes of Ahsoka have left many Star Wars fans with mouths gaping as we watched the show with full nerd happiness. Although there are so many things that we can talk about in regard to the show and what we saw on screen, here are a few highlights from Ahsoka Episode 6, “Far, Far Away.”

1. Grand Admiral Thrawn

Being one of the main villains of the show Star Wars Rebels, fans have been waiting with eager anticipation for the live-action debut of Grand Admiral Thrawn. Initially voiced by Lars Mikkelsen in the animated series and reprised his role in Ahsoka as well, it was a relief not to have to wait until Episode 8 to see him. Not only is it refreshing to have him played so well, but in the voice of Thrawn as we had become accustomed to hearing it over the seasons of Rebels.

Thrawn’s entrance gives us a real and dangerous threat to the New Republic. His continued appearances in Star Wars allow for so many story possibilities. New villains, new planets, and new species are all available due to his discovery.

2. Ezra Bridger

Although it may have been in a smaller role towards the end of the episode, like Thrawn, we didn’t have to wait until episode 8 to see where Ezra Bridger was. We find him both alive and well, and he is delighted to see Sabine.

Living among The Noti, an adorable race of nomadic turtle-like rock people, Ezra seems to be thriving and happy. Not to mention that Lucasfilm has chosen to make him appear more adult with a beard since he was a teenager the last time we saw Ezra in Star Wars Rebels.

Ezra is played by Eman Esfandi. The fanart images made of him as Ezra prior to this episode did not do him justice. He not only looks the part but appears to have the personality and cadence of Ezra down pretty well.

3. The Nightsisters

Early into our episode, we are greeted by three Nightsisters whose appearance and sounds are distinctly reminiscent of Mother Talzin from The Clone Wars animated series. We meet them on the planet of Peridea which is tucked far away in another galaxy. This planet housed Thrawn, Ezra, and the Nightsisters in their ancient kingdom.

Still, employers of Dark Magick are in league with Grand Admiral Thrawn. We will have to wait and see what the agreement between Thrawn and the Nightsisters is and how it will affect the story as it unfolds.

4. Possible Zombie Troopers

One thing needs to be explained about the Stormtroopers on Thrawn’s ship:

Are they Zombie troopers?

Will they have a green mist expelled from their body after they are killed? Or are they troopers left over from the battle of Lothal still living on Thrawn’s ship? And above that, who is Captain Enoch? That golden face on the mask of his helmet is both interesting and unsettling.
