Unwrapping the Star Wars LEGO Advent Calendar: Day 1
By Eric Clayton
We’ve arrived again at that most wonderful time of the year: Day 1 of the Star Wars LEGO Advent Calendar. And who comes dashing out of that little cardboard window, through the snow and straight into our hearts? An Omega minifigure seated upon a miniature sleigh!
I was pretty pumped when I originally learned we’d be getting an Omega minifigure in this year’s calendar. The only other set in which to find one so far is “The Justifier” aka Cad Bane’s (very expensive) ship. All that to say, if you—like me—have been looking wistfully at your “Bad Batch Attack Shuttle” aka the Marauder set, feeling as though someone has been missing, you’ll be pleased with what you find behind door number one.
It’s nice to see Star Wars: The Bad Batch getting some much-deserved love right out of the gate. (Last year we also saw Clone Force 99 represented in the form of a tiny Marauder build.)
Omega’s face comes with two expressions—happy and decidedly unhappy. And the one-seat sleigh is super cute. I struggled with the instructions for the briefest of moments—make sure the curving brown piece fits snugly next to the long brown pieces comprising the sleigh’s framing.
Otherwise, strong start to what I think is going to be a really fun year for the Star Wars LEGO Advent Calendar!
