Andor Season 2 looks great, but I'll never give it a 10 out of 10 unless my girl Jyn Erso makes an appearance.
That's right. Even after reading long discussions online regarding why a Jyn appearance breaks canon, I think she should be in Season 2. I don't think Lucasfilm is about to announce a Jyn Erso series that focuses on her life before Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Tony Gilroy knows Andor is a unique case of a show being given all the resources, protection, and creative freedom necessary to pump fuel into the story of an unsung hero like Cassian.
If Jyn is to return, it's now or never. Andor is the best chance for Felicity Jones to come back. Jyn died on Scarif with Cassian, so there's no way she can get a show set after the fall of the Empire. A prequel seems unlikely and may seem redundant because the Rebellion era has been covered so thoroughly by shows like Andor and Star Wars Rebels.

Most of the online arguments against a Jyn appearance point to it being canonically impossible for her to meet Cassian. Indeed, Jyn and Cassian never met before Rogue One. However, if you don't have the imagination to come up with a way to bring her into the series, that's your problem. She can be a part of the series without meeting Cassian.
Jyn can appear in Andor like all other Rogue One characters and be shown living her life before the events of the movie. We can watch the moment she was arrested, and we can see moments of her life in the novel Star Wars: Rebel Rising by Beth Revis. Andor Season 1 showed that Tony Gilroy knows how to balance multiple storylines, so bringing Jyn into the series for a couple of episodes shouldn't be a big deal.
Many moments from Season 1 highlighted the parallels between the lives of Cassian Andor and Jyn Erso, so I think bringing Jyn in Season 2 would make the show better. It would make the journey leading into Rogue One feel complete. Above all, it may be the last we'll ever see of her again. Felicity Jones has always been open to returning. She didn't rule out coming back as a hologram, but how cool would it be if she reprised her role for at least a couple of episodes?

Jyn is one of my favorite characters of the Disney era and in my top 3 favorite female characters in Star Wars. So, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she's coming back, and her role will be substantial. Her sacrifice in Rogue One was just as integral to the success of the Rebellion as Cassian's, and they've led similar lives.
Ben Mendelsohn will be back as Director Orson Krennic, so the Death Star will be crucial to Season 2, which means Galen Erso could return as well. Mads Mikkelsen will attend Star Wars Celebration in Japan, which has fueled rumors that he might return. If Galen is there, it makes a Jyn Erso appearance more likely.
Andor Season 2 premieres April 22 on Disney+.
