Asajj Ventress is back again, but this time going back in the timeline. StarWars.com revealed that the upcoming comic book Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories: The Bad Batch — Ghost Agents #4 will reveal how the titular Bad Batch met the Sith assassin well before the events of Season 3. This all-ages series from Dark Horse Comics begins on February 12.

Ventress is teamed up with the bounty hunter Aurra Sing to face off against Hunter, Crosshair, Wrecker, and Tech. According to writer Michael Moreci, he made sure that these issues didn't contradict what was seen in the series and made sure to skirt around what was presented in Season 3. He told StarWars.com, "I can't express enough just how thrilled I am to be writing more Bad Batch. But any good hero needs good villains, and there's no better villain than Asajj Ventress. Sure, we had to pull some strings to make any encounter between them work, but we did just that — and the result is a fun, action-packed adventure.”

This issue will also get four special variant covers. These feature Crosshair, Hunter, Wrecker, and Tech in beautiful connective covers that every comic book collector should grab.

I've been really excited for Hyperspace Stories: The Bad Batch - Ghost Agents. As a Tech fan, I'm happy to get my boy back, even if it's just in comic book form. While we won't have Omega, I wouldn't be surprised if we get a little cameo of her. I could see a situation in the final issue where she peeks around a corner to watch her brothers from afar. Or if they're on Kamino, she could be hidden in the background.

This is going to be a fun series regardless. There's a reason people fell in love with Clone Force 99, and this could do a lot to set up the events of the show. I'd be interested to see if they lay more groundwork for the fallout with Crosshair, who is the best written character in the show.

Hyperspace Stories: The Bad Batch - Ghost Agents will be illustrated by Reese Hannigan and the cover artist is Valeria "Lux" Favoccia. The series focuses on the Batch's mission to a Separatist planet of Vikir where they must locate a secret weapon used by the enemy. The series begins on February 12, and you can pre-order it now in your local comic book shop.
