Brooklyn knows if she asks to watch Amazon Prime Sports with me, I will not send her to bed early. She is trying that tactic while we watch Star Wars Resistance.
So far, we are about halfway through the first season, our last episode being "The Platform Classic." The Colossus is currently still bustling with starship races and dealing with pirates, while Kaz is on his mission for the Resistance and finding out more about the First Order.
It has been enjoyable to see what Brooklyn points out. Such as saying that BB-8 always has a plan, in that he always helps out Kaz when is he is in trouble. She also compared the Chelidae, who are the native species of Castilon and the engineers on the ship, to the humorous sloths in Zootopia.
She also was ecstatic to see Synara San for the first time. I had bought her Synara's action figure probably before she was old enough to play with them, but I was too excited and couldn't resist. As she was much younger the first time she watched, Brooklyn also could not remember Synara's redemption. She's currently really hoping Synara becomes good and goes against the pirates.

Her observations, though, have had more meaning than the simple things. For instance, in the fourth episode of the series, "Fuel for Fire," she instantly could tell that Elijah Wood's character Jace Rucklin was not good for Kaz and was probably going to become a "bad guy" later on.
Of course, her favorite character is still Torra Doza and is very excited when she sees the racer anytime on screen. Brooklyn adores both the colors of her ship and her make up. She also said every pilot needs a droid like BB-8.
I am very much looking forward to watching the next episode, "Secrets and Holograms." It has been some time since Brooklyn was five years old and was obsessed with the Torra-centric parts of the show. She made my wife and I watch it many times.
I think that Star Wars Resistance, as a whole, was a breath of fresh air for the franchise. It is a good children's show but also enjoyable for adults. It's an easy series to introduce the franchise to their children. Brooklyn loves this show and Young Jedi Adventures. I love Andor. This is a perfect mix for both of us. There is room for both of us.
As the weather turns nicer, Brooklyn will still have a bedtime, but once summer hits, I hope we can watch more than an episode a night.
