Not everyone is up for a Star Wars holiday special, but they do have something to celebrate no matter your history with the franchise's more light-hearted side. Combining the self-aware humor of a special with the delightful medium of LEGOs gets even more fun as The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special is now on the Star Wars Kids YouTube channel.

The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special is now on YouTube!

According to news from the official Star Wars website, "Some of your favorite LEGO Star Wars stories are headed to the Star Wars Kids YouTube channel just in time or the holidays!" This project has been on Disney+ since November 2020 but is now available for people with access to other streaming for a limited time. The site describes it as an "endearing special" and says its release will make it "even easier to share your love of the galaxy with the next generation of fans in your life."

The program is definitely endearing, as well as relatable, as we see Finn struggling with Jedi training and Rey looking for ways to help and encourage her friend. This takes them on a whirlwind trip through time and space, and things get complicated when their enemies discover that they can use the same portal. Off Darth Vader goes to face Rey in a story that draws in beloved characters from previous trilogies and the people we know from the sequel trilogy.

Even better than this holiday adventure on YouTube is the release of 2024's LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy for Star Wars Kids YouTube channel on December 5. This series is one of my personal favorites, and it follows two nerf herders divided by fate when they alter a Jedi temple. Suddenly, Darth Vader is a Jedi, Jar Jar Binks is a Sith, the Empire is still in power, and Jedi Bob may be everyone's only hope. Star Wars.com describes it as a "twisted tale, which... reimagines the galaxy far, far away like you've never seen it before."

With holidays coming up, it's worth mentioning that there are sets of unique LEGOs that go along with this "mixed up, mashed up, and completely turned around story." The Dark Falcon is the most complex, with its completely dark side-ified black, grey, and red coloring. The TIE fighter and X-wing Mash-Up reminds us of when Ewoks took to the skies in this Alternate Universe. And for fans of the story's unlikely hero, we have Jedi Bob's Starfighter to assemble.

Check out the Star Wars Kids channel today and have fun this Life Day.
