Heads up LEGO Star Wars fans! The Alternate Universe series that literally broke the Star Wars galaxy is back! LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy returns for a second season on September 19 with Pieces of the Past.
The new season was revealed at Star Wars Celebration Japan. Ahmed Best, who reprised his role as Jar Jar Binks—er, well, Darth Jar Jar—introduced the latest cast member to join the team. Out came Ashley Eckstein, who is back voicing Ahsoka Tano. Only, it's not exactly the Ahsoka we're expecting, as she will be a LEGO BrickHeadz, as seen in the Season 2 poster below and on StarWars.com.

You might also spot a familiar green Lepi on the poster. Jaxxon, the fan favorite smuggler, makes his debut in an on-screen animated story. He will be voiced by comedian Ben Schwartz, who was in The Bad Batch Season 2 episode, "Faster," as the racer TAY-0. You might also know him from the live action Sonic the Hedgehog movies, where he voices the titular character (and was actually my first ever fandom, which I have a ton of love for).
We also see a giant LEGO Chewbacca in the poster. I must say that I really hope they have some kind of joke about the LEGO Chewbacca at Disney Springs. If you know, you know.
What about our heroes from the first season of LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy? Are they back? Sig Greebling, voiced by Gaten Matarazzo, is front and center, ready for his next adventure. While Yesi Scala (Marsai Martin) and Jedi Bob (Bobby Moynihan) weren't confirmed, showrunner and writer Dan Hernandez did mention them in a special video to the Celebration crowd, saying, "We’ve been asked, what’s next for Sig, Yesi, and Jedi Bob? Will there be more Darth Jar Jar? Star Wars Celebration fans, we’re excited to announce that their story will continue." That's pretty darn close to a yes for me.
Ahmed Best shared his love of the Darth Jar Jar theory and his joy getting to play the role, saying, "
I always liked this Darth Jar Jar theory. You know what the funniest thing is? People would come up to me and go, ‘Have you heard this Darth Jar Jar theory?’ And I was like, how could I have
not heard? It’s everywhere. But I always wanted to explore this whole Darth Jar Jar thing. So when Rebuild the Galaxy came about, I was just like, oh, this is absolutely perfect. This is the best way to explore Darth Jar Jar and start talking about him. I got to do a whole bunch of comedy ad-libbing while we were doing it, which is my thing. I loved it."
Ashley Eckstein was ecstatic to play Ahsoka again, saying, "Last time I was on this stage I talked about how Ahsoka lives in all of us, and we’ve really made Ahsoka’s story our own story. We’ve experienced Star Wars for an entire generation through Ahsoka’s eyes… and we’ve literally created our own story through Ahsoka, and that’s what this story is about. There’s so much heart in BrickHeadz Ahsoka, and we’re all going to relate to her. You’re going to love it."
