The end of Andor season 2 was a thrilling, worthwhile endeavor. Star Wars fans, however, cannot be stopped; we always want to know what's next. Specifically, what the next Star Wars show will be following Andor's revolutionary conclusion.

The wait won't be long for the next show to arrive, thankfully. And you'll have a little time to catch up on prior seasons before new episodes hit Disney+ soon.

The beloved Star Wars: Visions series will continue with a third volume of episodes this fall, and will likely be the next show to premiere new episodes after Andor season 2. Visions is a series of animated Star Wars-inspired shorts produced by different studios around the world, and its stories have also expanded into books, comics, and manga.

According to StarWars.com, the third volume of the series will release on October 29, 2025. A spinoff series, a continuation of "The Ninth Jedi" episode from the first Visions volume, is also in development.

Below is a list of upcoming Star Wars shows that have been officially confirmed and are currently in development.

  • Young Jedi Adventures season 3 - expected this fall
  • Maul: Shadow Lord - expected in 2026
  • Star Wars: Ahsoka season 2 - currently in development

These three shows, plus Visions and the Visions spinoff mentioned above, are the only Star Wars shows currently in development that we know about. While nothing has been officially confirmed, this could be due to an industry shift that might impact the volume of streaming shows moving forward.

More and more these days, Star Wars fans are speculating that movies will soon become the franchise's main priority again. We know, for example, that The Mandalorian & Grogu will release in May 2026, with other films like Star Wars: Starfighter likely not far behind.

There isn't much information available on the future of Star Wars TV shows, however -- and maybe that says something about how many we'll actually get. Some are calling this the end of the streaming age, where our days of binge-watching eight-episode seasons of a new show in one weekend will become an era of the past.

How this will impact Star Wars TV specifically is unclear -- and all this prediction is pure speculation, of course. We should enjoy these upcoming shows while we have them, though, just in case they're some of the last we'll get for quite some time.
