This December will mark the 10th anniversary of Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens. There will be many different ways that the record-breaking film will be honored this fall and winter. Penguin Random House is one of those celebrating in its own way. Published by Titan Books, this should be a huge collectible for any fan of the franchise and the film.
They are set to release a 10th anniversary Star Wars Insider commemorative magazine. This special hardcover magazine is set to be released on November 11, 2025, and is available for pre-order on several sites such as Amazon and Target through the Penguin Random House website.
The anniversary special issue will feature behind-the-scenes interviews and pictures from the making of the space epic. It will also feature several images from the Lucasfilm archives about the making of the film, along with interviews from stars Harrison Ford and Daisy Ridley.
The commemorative magazine isn't the only item we know of so far. In addition to the issue, Hallmark is set to release an ornament of Darth Vader's charred helmet in time for Christmas in July. Also, Dark Horse Comics has released a new comic series, Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories — Codebreaker, that dropped its first issues on April 20. You can read about this prequel comic featuring Poe Dameron and BB-8 in that edition of This Week in Star Wars Comics, our weekly breakdown of new Star Wars titles.

The Force Awakens was released in 2015 in December and broke several box office records. It ushered in a new era for the franchise and launched the career of Daisy Ridley, who portrayed the main character in the sequel trilogy, Rey.
As the 10th anniversary is coming near, I would expect many other types of toys and collectibles to be released. The film was well-received by both critics and audiences alike.
Penguin Random House has also done this type of magazine for other films in the franchise. They released a special issue for the 40th anniversary of Return of the Jedi in 2023 and for The Book of Boba Fett.
It's a movie that hits home for my wife and me, and we have a wish to purchase a collectible magazine such as this. My wife was pregnant when we saw the movie. Brooklyn (who is our youngest contributor to Dork Side of the Force helping me out with our Daddy-Daughter reviews) is now a big fan of the franchise, and this may be a magazine I buy for her and also myself as well.
The Force Awakens will officially turn ten on December 18, 2025, and you can currently watch the movie on Disney+.
