D23 2024: The big Star Wars panels to look out for

D23 2024 is right around the corner. The ultimate showcase for Disney arrives August 9-11, bringing with it news, a celebration of its great artists, and more. Star Wars is poised to have a big showing at the expo.

StarWars.com has shared the full panel list, including behind the scenes looks at how a galaxy far, far away is made. Here are the big panels you should look for at D23 2024.

Friday, August 9

LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy 12:00 p.m. PST: Showrunners and executive producers Dan Hernandez, Benji Samit, and James Waugh share more details about the upcoming LEGO Star Wars miniseries that arrives on Disney+ on September 13.

Disney Entertainment Showcase 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. PST: This is by far the biggest panel of D23. StarWars.com says it is "a star-studded showcase featuring exclusive looks at the movies, series, and stage shows you love, and a glimpse into what you can look forward to. Join some of your favorite stars as they give you a peek behind the curtain at upcoming projects, never-before-seen footage, surprise announcements, and special guests, musical performances, and exclusive new content coming to the big screen, your small screens, and stages worldwide."

This will be the panel to look out for when it comes to announcements for upcoming Star Wars movies and shows.

Saturday, August 10

A Lookback at Star Wars: The Acolyte with Manny Jacinto 4:00 p.m. PST: For everyone who lost their minds over Manny Jacinto's arms, this is the panel for you. The actor will discuss his character QImir AKA The Stranger.

Sunday, August 11

A Conversation with Lucasfilm Animation 12:00 p.m. PST: Lucasfilm Animation's vice president Athena Portillo and the voice of Hera Syndulla Vanessa Marshall sit down to look back at two decades woth of Lucasfilm Animation. If there isn't an announcement for an animated series at the Disney Entertainment Showcase on Friday night, this might be the one to look out for.

Disney Legends Awards Ceremony 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. PST: The 2024 class of Disney Legends will be honored. This year's group includes Harrison Ford, John Williams, and Frank Oz!
