Darth Jar Jar is here in new miniseries LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy

Something is wrong in the galaxy. Time and space are being remade, and nothing is right! TIE X-wings!? Rebel Alliance AT-ATs? DARTH JAR JAR!? It's a world of mayhem in the new four-part miniseries LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy, coming to Disney+ on September 13.

StarWars.com shared a summary of the new special, saying, "The entire Star Wars galaxy gets completely mixed up when an ordinary nerf-herder, Sig Greebling (Gaten Matarazzo), unearths a powerful artifact from a hidden Jedi temple. He finds himself thrust into adventure in a new, wondrously wild and twisted version of the galaxy where good guys are bad, bad guys are good, and the fate of all depends on Sig becoming the hero who can put all the pieces back together."

The showrunners for the series are Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit. If those names sound familiar, they are the brilliant comedic minds behind Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, Pokémon Detective Pikachu, and The Addams Family 2. They shared, "The opportunity to work with LEGO and Lucasfilm to rebuild the galaxy has been a dream come true. We’ve been collecting LEGO Star Wars sets for twenty-five years, and we have approached this project with a fan’s enthusiasm, crafting this story quite literally brick by brick. For new fans, this will be an exciting place to enter the world of LEGO Star Wars, and for lifelong fans, you’re going to see some things that you never thought possible.”

As a huge fan of LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures, I've been waiting for another LEGO show. While it's only a miniseries, I'm excited to have something longer than the one-off excellent specials we've received in the last few years. Also, to see that Ahmed Best is back once again as Jar Jar Bink, voicing him as a Sith Lord is the cherry on top! This looks like an incredibly fun miniseries, and I can't wait for it to drop.

The four-part miniseries LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy arrives on Disney+ on September 13.
