Ewan McGregor is ready to suit up for a live-action Clone Wars movie

After Hayden Christensen put on Anakin's Clone Wars armor for Ahsoka Season 1, Ewan McGregor says it "would be a great joy" to wear it as well.

McGregor shared his hopes for his future in Star Wars with fans at LA Comic Con. The crowd reportedly went "insane" when the actor shared his hopes of wearing the armor we're all familiar with from The Clone Wars. Like so many fans, the actor also hopes to bring some of the most iconic moments of The Clone Wars to live-action with Hayden Christensen.

Ewan took it further and suggested using de-aging technology to create a possible live-action Clone Wars movie. His update on Obi-Wan Kenobi Season 2 also sparked speculation that the season may include flashbacks to the Clone Wars era, featuring Obi-Wan and Anakin, a prospect McGregor is highly enthusiastic about.

While Obi-Wan Kenobi Season 2 hasn't been announced yet, and a live-action Clone Wars film may seem far-fetched, Ahsoka Season 2 is set to film next year. Season 1 featured Hayden Christensen in Clone Wars armor as Anakin and Ahsoka reunited for Clone Wars-era flashbacks. Is a Season 2 cameo on the horizon for McGregor, potentially reuniting Anakin, Ahsoka, and Obi-Wan in a live-action flashback?

As for Obi-Wan Kenobi, the series only featured one flashback scene between Anakin and Obi-Wan, which takes place at the Jedi Temple. Many fans hoped the series would include our first look at Hayden and Ewan in Clone Wars armor for flashback scenes, but perhaps that could be on the cards for Season 2. It's important to note that McGregor was a producer on Obi-Wan Kenobi and may already be discussing possible ideas with Lucasfilm for Season 2. The Clone Wars flashbacks could very well be something that's being discussed at the moment. In the meantime, we'll keep our fingers crossed until Season 2 or a live-action Clone Wars movie is officially announced.
