Star Wars is dropping more of its live-action shows on physical media, and you can own Obi-Wan Kenobi in 4k UHD and Blu-Ray on April 30th, 2024.

Disney previously released The Mandalorian Seasons 1 and 2 in 4k UDH and Blu-Ray, and fans have since been waiting for more shows to be released. Obi-Wan Kenobi premiered in 2022 and featured the return of Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi, along with Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader. Their return also meant the return of extraordinarily skilled lightsaber duels, which are the show's biggest highlights.

The series focuses on Obi-Wan's trauma after the loss of his best friend and apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, and the fall of the Jedi Order. It takes place 10 years after the events of Revenge of the Sith. The series features a young Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa, as well the return of beloved Original Trilogy characters such as Bail and Breha Organa, Uncle Owen, and Aunt Beru.

The Kenobi physical release comes with many featurettes, including a special look at the lightsaber duels- with interviews of Deborah Chow, Hayden Christensen, and Ewan McGregor, as well as director's commentary. There are also featurettes called "Designing the Galaxy" and "The Dark Times," which will explore the different planets and the Inquisitors in the series. The interviews with McGregor and Christensen are enough to entice fans into buying the physical edition of Kenobi, and an opportunity to watch it in 4K UHD shouldn't be missed.

During the series, several fans complained on social media that the picture quality of the show was very grainy. It's a complaint that plagued the series right until the end, including the finale showdown between Obi-Wan and Vader, which fans complained had poor lighting. Hopefully, the visuals will seem a lot better in 4K UHD.

Fans can pre-order the collector's edition as well as the Steelbooks on March 12 before it's released on April 30th along with Andor Season 1 which was also announced alongside Obi-Wan Kenobi.
