Star Wars:: Skeleton Crew can't catch a break with these merchandise leaks, can it? The latest one did give us a possible look at the name of Jude Law's mysterious Force user character as well the main kid characters.
The LEGO fan account Falconbricks via IGN shared images of an upcoming LEGO set which revealed all the information. This includes the name of the main ship of the series, called the Onyx Cinder. The set showcased 5 new minifigures which is where we get the names from.
However, it's important to note that the images in the shared photographs are blurry. These are the best guesses people have made about what they say, so they are subject to change.
Editor Note: The original tweet has since been deleted.
Jude Law's Force user character looks to be named "Jod." The four kid characters are a little harder to make out, but IGN shares they believe their names are "Wim, Fern, K8, and Neel." The set has 1,325 pieces in it and will be released on August 1.
As I said, Skeleton Crew can't seem to catch a break with these merchandise leaks. It's actually a bit surprising to see, as Star Wars is usually pretty good about being on top of these things. Back in May, it was a leak that gave us the first look at the four kid characters. The website where the leak was had been quickly taken down, but with the speed of the internet, the damage had already been done. This isn't a first for the franchise, as merchandise leaks have long been a problem. Still, it's pretty rare under the Disney era of the company, as the Big Mouse has been pretty good about catching those early.
Still, I'm excited to see more info about it. I've been lowkey excited for Star Wars: Skeleton Crew since it was announced. It's a neat concept going back to the days of Amblin Entertainment films, adding a different feel to the Mandoverse.
Skeleton Crew is currently slated for a Christmas release window.
