Adria Arjona has become a recognizable face in the Star Wars franchise thanks to her brilliant performance as Bix Caleen in Andor. Arjona will return as Bix for Andor Season 2, which she promises is miles ahead of Season 1.

Arjona sat down with The Hollywood Reporter to discuss her recent success, including her Netflix series, Hit Man, and went into as much detail as possible about Tony Gilroy's masterful writing for Andor Season 2. Arjona admits she's blessed to have been a part of the series and promises fans that the final season will surpass all their expectations, just as it surpassed her own.

While describing her expectations before she read the script for Season 2, Arjona said she was unsure Gilroy could create anything better than Season 1. His work on Season 2 pleasantly surprised her and made her change her mind:

"So I started reading episode one, and I was again like, 'It’s not going to be as good.' But it’s [expletive] better. It’s so much better. It is. What he has crafted and created is mind-blowing, and I can’t believe I got to be a part of it."

Arjona is in awe of series creator Tony Gilroy, who's risen to the top of Star Wars fans' wish list of writers who should helm future projects:

"I just have so much respect for him. He’s so talented, and he really outdid himself for season two."

Beyond Gilroy's work on the series, Arjona also credits him with motivating her as a performer:

"He just believes in me so much, and he’s really turned into my godfather in this industry."

Arjona also revealed that she's gotten a tattoo in honor of her character, Bix Caleen:

"It’s a little tiny x for Bix, and I got it … Can I say it? Disney can’t fire me. I already shot it. It’s in the can. I got it while I was on set. My makeup artist did a stick-and-poke [tattoo] in the middle of a lunch break."

Sadly, no one among the cast agreed to join her and get inked, but Arjona has a tattoo to remind her of her incredible experience in Star Wars forever.

Andor Season 2 covers the last 4 years leading up to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and will see the return of many important Rogue One characters. The season will show Cassian Andor's growth into a respected intelligence officer for the Rebel Alliance, a far cry from who he was at the beginning of Season 1. Ben Mendelsohn and Alan Tudyk are just two of the big names set to return in the series that features a one year time jump every three episodes. An exciting teaser for Andor Season 2 was shared at the D23 Fan Expo on August 9, with glimpses of K-2SO, Director Orson Krennec, Mon Mothma, and Cassian Andor.

Andor Season 2 premieres in 2025 on Disney+.
