The Bad Batch: Ghost Agents - Everything we know so far

The world said goodbye to The Bad Batch and Clone Force 99 earlier this year, but the adventures are far from over. An upcoming comic book miniseries will tell a new story featuring the fan-favorite characters -- yes, even Tech!

In Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories: The Bad Batch: Ghost Agents, Clone Force 99 returns for another mission in a five-part series from Dark Horse Comics. The miniseries, written by Michael Moreci and illustrated by Reese Hannigan, follows the Bad Batch's Hunter, Wrecker, Crosshair, and Tech on a dangerous mission across the galaxy to track down a Separatist ghost agent.

The story takes place prior to the series' events, something that Star Wars publishing, in particular, has the luxury of doing to bring certain characters "back" by going back in time. The Batch previously appeared in the larger Hyperspace Stories comic, but this is their first solo miniseries—and hopefully not the last!

The series' five issues will feature cover art by Valeria “Lux” Favoccia, with variant covers by French Carlomagno.

Series writer Moreci told Dark Horse: "I think everyone who knows my Star Wars work knows I love the Clone Wars ... the Bad Batch is probably my favorite part of that. They're just so cool and unique; they're like 1980s action heroes dropped into the Star Wars universe."

Many Star Wars fans were left heartbroken when Tech's fatal sacrifice toward the end of the show turned out to be real. This is a great opportunity to get to spend a little more time with him at a different point in the Star Wars timeline. Even if you're not a seasoned comics reader, let this short series of stories be your one exception. Do it for Tech!
