October is going to be quite a big month in Star Wars Comics. We kick off with the final comic event of the year which details the Battle of Jakku, the final event of the Galactic Civil War. Along with it, we have the final issue of a miniseries, so there's a lot to talk about.

Let's dive into This Week in Star Wars Comics!

Battle of Jakku — Insurgency Rising #1

The Battle of Endor wasn't the end of the Empire, and the fledgling New Republic is immediately challenged. The Imperial remnant remains as a ongoing deadly enemy ready to take on the new government. This villain also has mysterious ties to Darth Vader to be uncovered. Also, a dangerous group called the Acolytes of the Beyond has emerged too. All this kicks off the first wave of the post-Return of the Jedi era.

Battle of Jakku — Insurgency Rising #1 is the last comic event of the year, but it is not one to be missed as it will set up the mainline comics in 2025. It will be the first of three limited series, each containing four issues. This issue has two chapters called "Last Resort" and "The Rising." Battle of Jakku — Insurgency Rising #1 is written by Alex Segura, illustrated by Leonard Kirk and Stefano Raffaele, and the cover artist is Phil Noto.

Inquisitors #4

The rogue Jedi Tensu Run has become quite the thorn in the dark side of the Inquisitorious. After the reluctant do-gooder, who never really wanted to become a legend or symbol of hope, defeated multiple inquisitors, it's time for Darth Vader himself to get involved. Will Tensu Run tap into the dark side to save the future of the Jedi or continue on the path to the Light?

Inquisitors #4 is the final issue of the miniseries. It's written by Rodney Barnes, illustrated by Ramon Rosanas, and the cover artist is Nick Bradshaw.

And that's it for This Week in Star Wars Comics! October is going to be a fun one, so buckle up! See you next time in the splash pages!
