This week in Star Wars comics: Revelations sets up 2024 stories

This week's Star Wars comics showcases new beginnings as well as taking another series closer to its end. From the penultimate issue of Doctor Aphra to setting up all the stories for the next year in the Marvel line, here are all the comics out this week in Star Wars.

Revelations #1

The one-shot comic Revelations #1 is by far the biggest arrival this week. This issue brings seven stories which spanning from the High Republic era to the original trilogy and everything else in between. Written by an all-star team of Charles Soule, Marc Bernardin, Alyssa Wong, Greg Pak, Ethan Sacks, Cavan Scott, and Marc Guggenheim, Revelations is setting up the ongoing stories for 2024, letting fans get a sneak peek of what is on the horizon. This is definitely not one to be missed!

Doctor Aphra #39

The penultimate issue for Doctor Aphra (2020) is here, setting up the finale of Alyssa Wong's ongoing series. This issue is also a tie in with the ongoing Dark Droids event as Aphra is fighting to save those she loves against the threat of the villainous Scourge invades throughout the galaxy. Of course, she is out to save herself as well!

Darth Vader #41

Written by Greg Pak and illustrated by Raffaele and Federico Blee, Darth Vader is also a tie in comic with the Dark Droids event. When we last left Vader, he allowed his mechanical body to be taken over by the Scourge as a chance to strike back. But is the Scourge controlling the Sith Lord or is Vader the one who will come out on top?

The High Republic #2

Written by Cavan Scott and illustrated by Jim Towe and Jim Campbell, we last left Jedi Master Keeve Trennis facing off against an old enemy from The High Republic's Phase I: Lourna Dee. Keeve must deal with this threat quickly as the Nihil are poised to make a deal with the Hutt Clan to join forces against the Repbulic.
