Sophie Thatcher had the pleasure of appearing in The Book of Boba Fett in 2022 as the leader of the Mods biker gang. Like many actors who have been lucky enough to join the franchise, she would be totally down for a return -- and we'd be glad to have her.
"I would love to," she told Inverse when asked if she'd ever return to a galaxy far, far away. “The Star Wars universe is so vast and so dense and so interesting, and Jon Favreau made it feel very political and very timely. It's such a cool universe. I would do it in a heartbeat.”
Some people didn't like the Mods (or The Book of Boba Fett), but they actually stood out as unique elements as Favreau attempted to worldbuild Tatooine in a very particular post-Return of the Jedi time period. Thatcher could easily fit right back into the universe, especially since she's already open to doing so.
There are several ways this could happen, the most expected being that the actor returns in the original role of Drash. But the more likely scenario would be to have her return to Star Wars as a completely new character. Because her role in The Book of Boba Fett was quite small, it would be easy to cast her in an entirely different role.
It certainly wouldn't be the first time the same actor has played multiple characters in Star Wars. Andy Serkis, for example, played Supreme Leader Snoke in the sequel trilogy but was also easily able to appear as a separate character in Andor since portraying Snoke didn't show his actual face or body. Similarly, Clancy Brown voiced multiple animated characters in Star Wars, like Savage Opress and Ryder Azadi, before appearing in live-action as Burg in Season 1 of The Mandalorian.
There is, of course, an argument for giving new actors the chance to play new characters in a galaxy far, far away. But it's also always fun to spot -- if you can -- repeat appearances, especially when it's the same actor showing up as someone new. Maybe some audience members didn't love Thatcher or the other Mods (for some reason), but they might welcome her back as someone else someday.
