Last week, I did a breakdown of the Rebel Alliance Starter Set for Star Wars: Legion, and today will be a box breakdown of the Galactic Empire Starter Set. If you want to bring peace, order, and stability to the galaxy, the Galactic Empire Starter Set is for you! Similar to the other Star Wars: Legion Starter Sets, you'll get 600 points worth of minis for a recon-sized force and tools that allow you to play the game.

Star Wars: Legion Galactic Empire Starter Set Contents

Unlike the Rebel Alliance box, the Galactic Empire Starter Set has a more uniform and less diverse set of models, which does a good job of showing off how orderly and rigid the Empire can be. in this box, you'll receive the following minis:

1: 1x Darth Vader Figure:

Instill fear into your enemies as this imposing Darth Vader mini-figure commands both Stormtroopers and Scout Troopers to victory. From hunting down the Death Star plans to rooting out Rebel hideouts, your opponent will have a tough time dealing with this Dark Lord of the Sith!

2: 22x Stormtroopers:

The best of the best shock troops when it comes to the Empire, Imperial Stormtroopers are the first ones in to deal with the more dangerous elements, whether that includes Rebels, or other enemies.

3: 14x Scout Troopers:

While being very good shock troops, Stormtroopers were too rigid to act out of their assigned role. When the Empire needed a faster unit for infiltration, recon, marksmanship, etc, they'd turn to the Imperial Scout Troopers.

Given a higher degree of independence, Scout Troopers excel in areas that require a more deft touch, such as recon, sniping, and getting into and out of areas unseen.

4: Dice, Movement Tools, Cards, etc.

Similar to the Rebel Alliance Starter Set, the Galactic Empire Starter Set will come with all the same stuff needed to play the game, from range and movement tools, the special dice the system uses, cards, etc.

The only real difference between the boxes for this section is the type of faction-specific cards that are included in each box. Unit cards are more than likely faction-specific, but outside of that, we'll have to wait and see which other faction-specific and generalized cards are included in each starter box.

Box Price and Overall Value

Starting with Darth Vader, if you want the Dark Lord of the Sith on his own, you're out of luck. The model included in the starter set is the earliest you'll be able to get it. Otherwise, you'll need to wait till October 10th to get Vader, who is also paired with General Veers, for $34.99.

Next up, we have the Imperial Stormtroopers, and they cost $54.99 for 11 of them. It'll cost $109.98 to get 22 of them, which come in the starter set. Similar to Stormtroopers, you'll need to buy two boxes of Scout Troopers at $52.99 apiece to get the 14 that come in the starter set. The tools, cards, and dice also range in cost from $26.99 - $9.95.

Totaling everything up, it comes out to $348.86. The price of the Galactic Empire Starter Set is $99.99, which means you're saving over $245 by buying the starter set minus whatever your sales tax is.

If you've been wanting to get into Star Wars: Legion, this starter set is a heck of a good deal. In my next article, I'll be checking out the Separatist Alliance Starter Set.
