Happy Pride, because everyone's favorite messy (in the best way possible) chaos archologist is back. Doctor Aphra has been one of the best characters to come out of the Disney era of stories, and it's time to see how she does in the New Republic. Let's dive in!

This Week in Star Wars Comics is Doctor Aphra - Chaos Agent #1!

Between working with a Sith Lord, surviving a fascist rule, falling in love, falling apart, and finding love again, is it time for Doctor Chelli Aphra to chill out and relax in the New Republic?

HECK NO! THERE'S STUFF TO STUDY AND STEAL! You know, in the name of history and stuff.

However, her well-recognized tattoos, which have been on her since her debut, doesn't seem to be working anymore. It might be a problem, but she has bigger things to worry about. Like Jedi Luke Skywalker wanting her help finding Jedi artifacts. Time for Aphra to do what she does best: Be a choatic agent!

Doctor Aphra - Chaos Agent #1 comes to you from Radiant Red author Cherish Chen. Sitting down with Collider, via Marvel.com, Chen shared the excitement of writing a fan favorite Star Wars character, saying, "In my humble opinion, there isn't a more fun character to be writing in the Star Wars galaxy than the one and only Doctor Aphra. Cooking up new adventures for her in this new era, throwing her into increasingly tricky moral quandaries, and testing her resolve (alongside some familiar faces) has truly been like playing in the ultimate sandbox. Our favorite chaos agent is back, and I cannot wait to share what we’ve been working on and for you all to see Gabriel’s incredibly dynamic art."

The artist for Chaos Agent #1 is Gabriel Guzman, the letterer is Joe Caramagna, the colorist is Michael Atiyeh, and the cover artist is E.J. Su. As June is also Pride Month, there is a special Pride variant cover by Pablo Collar as well as variant covers by Chris Sprouse, Sara Pichelli, Ema Lupacchino, and Karen S. Darboe. You can see all the covers on Wookieepedia.

That's it for This Week in Star Wars Comics! See you in the splash pages!
