November is kicking off skewed towards the trade paperbacks. This week, they completely outnumber the single issues, diving into the world of Star Wars Legends. These are always great because longtime fans of the Extended Universe can get new editions, and new fans can discover these stories for the first time.

This Week in Star Wars Comics, it's Insurgency Rising, Ahsoka, and Legends trades!

The Battle of Jakku — Insurgency Rising #4

Things are heating up as the first installment of the Battle of Jakku maxiseries closes out (don't worry! Part two, Republic Under Siege, starts on November 20). A mysterious Inquisitor has appeared, challenging Luke Skywalker. The rogue Imperial warlord, Ubrik Adelhard, takes on the fledgling New Republic and their team led by the father of Poe Dameron, Kes. It'll come to a head in this issue!

The Battle of Jakku - Insurgence Rising #4 is written by Alex Segura, the illustrators are Leonard Kirk and Stefano Raffaele, and the cover artist Phil Noto.

Ahsoka #5

I don't know what to say about these adaptations anymore. It's the episode in comic book form. It's not adding anything new to it. Rodney Barnes writes Ahsoka #5, and the illustrator is Steven Cummings. I will say that the Phil Noto cover is really nice, showcasing Ahsoka Tano and Anakin Skywalker's climatic duel in The World Between Worlds.

The Essential Legends Collection

There are three Star Wars Legends trade paperbacks released this week. Each is part of The Essential Legends Collection, which are reprints of Extended Universe stories. The three books out are The Force Unleashed by Sean Williams, The Han Solo Adventures by Brian Daley, and X-Wing: Solo Command by Aaron Allston. For that last title, one of our writers did a deep dive into why it's one of the best stories about Han Solo. Check it out here!

That's it for This Week in Star Wars Comics! See you next time in the splash pages!
