Buckle up, baby, because Doctor Aphra is back in all of her chaotic glory! Joining the mega event Star Wars: Battle of Jakku, the sometimes go, sometimes bad, always here for a good time archeologist is back, as announced by Marvel.com. The announcement detailed the second installment of Battle of Jakku - Republic Under Siege, starting November 20.

Battle of Jakku is three limited series revealing what happened in the final conflict of the Republic Civil War and the official end of the Empire. The first part, Insurgency Rising, was announced last month and these comics will lead into the next era of Star Wars comics for next year.

Republic Under Siege will be helmed by Alex Segura as the writer and three illustrators tackling the limited series, Leonard Kirk, Stefano Raffaele, and Jethro Morales. Segura shared his excitement with Marvel.com about creating this comic event, saying, "It's an unbelievable honor to be able to tell this lost story of Star Wars history, alongside so many amazing artists, in the pages of the three BATTLE OF JAKKU limited series. Our story will be epic in scope - involving all the major characters you love, plus some new, exciting additions to the mythos."

"We'll not only give readers a front-row seat to the final battle of the Galactic Civil War - we'll reframe the aftermath of the Battle of Endor and introduce a new, menacing threat that will keep our heroes guessing. The goal for all of us is to turn up the volume and make sure this adventure stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the other stories of the era. As the Empire collapses, a new darkness arises!"

And what about Doctor Aphra? In the summary of issue one, it specificially says that the heroes are saved "by a fan-favorite guest star and ally." Then, she is right on the cover of issue two by Luke Skywalker where in the issue she will "join forces to fight off a surprise attack as the remaining Imperials plot their next attack!"

It's exciting to see Aphra back, as her award winning run by Alyssa Wong came to an end earlier this year. Fans have been wondering when she would return, and thankfully they didn't have to wait too terribly long.

Battle of Jakku comic event kicks off in October with Insurgency Rising. The second part, Republic Under Siege, starts on November 20 which will bring the return of fan-favorite comic character, Doctor Aphra.
