The Japanese trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has been released today, and it has significantly more Darth Vader in it than any other Rogue One trailer that has come before…which isn’t really saying a whole lot…

We are 36 days away from the worldwide theatrical debut of the very first Star Wars standalone film when Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits theaters on December 16. Today, thanks to ComicBook.com who posted the teaser to their YouTube page, we have a look at the second international trailer for Rogue One, as Japan aired its trailer for the film, and with it, at the end, we get a new look at everyone’s favorite Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Vader. Check it out:

As you can see, there are a few new scenes in this second Rogue One international trailer. First, there is a look at Jyn Erso’s mother, Lyra Erso (Valene Kane). We also get a look at what appears to be a kyber crystal hanging around Jyn’s neck, given to Jyn by her mother. Could this mean that Jyn’s mother might have been a Jedi at one time? There is a rumor that someone in Rogue One: Catalyst is Force sensitive. Could it be Lyra?

Finally, of course, there is that look at Darth Vader, at the end of the trailer, as he raises his hand in what appears to a Force choking motion. Let’s have a look at the GIF, shall we?

Compare the above GIF to this one of Darth Vader charging through the smoke toward Director Orson Krennic, and you can put two and two together, and speculate on who Vader is Force choking there.

Either way, we now have a new trailer to add to our Rogue One trailers one-stop destination list.

"From Lucasfilm comes the first of the Star Wars standalone films, “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” an all-new epic adventure. In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves. In theaters December 2016"
