Actress Rosario Dawson wants to bring beloved Star Wars character Ahsoka Tano to life

Ahsoka Tano is becoming one of the most beloved characters within the Star Wars universe. So, wouldn’t it be awesome to see some sort of live-action film of Ashoka? Well, it looks like we have the woman to fill those boots and hold those lightsabers….

Ahsoka Tano is one of my favorite characters in Star Wars. She’s kind, tough and can use a lightsaber (or two) better than most, and now, a certain actress would like to bring this Jedi to life. A few days ago, a fan mentioned on Twitter that actress Rosario Dawson should play Ahsoka Tano in a live-action film, and she responded.

And Rosario loved the idea.

The possibility of this is really exciting. Ahsoka is a very layered character: she was trained by Anakin Skywalker, was framed for bombing the Jedi Temple, left the Jedi Order, survived Order 66 and the Jedi Purge, and made a comeback in Star Wars: Rebels. A movie taking place between her leaving the Order and then her return in Star Wars Rebels would be fantastic.

I’m thankful that we’ll see more Star Wars movies after Star Wars: Episode IX has been released. Also, a stand-alone Han Solo movie has already begun filming, and, possibly, a Boba Fett movie could be coming next. Both of those would only add to the already rich and vibrant Star Wars cinematic legacy. Not only would an Ahsoka film bring in new fans — fans who started watching Star Wars with The Clone Wars or Star Wars Rebels — but it would also bring in a ton of revenue for Disney. New toys, clothing, video games, coloring books, birthday cards and so much more.

For the sake of everything good. For the sake of everything just. For the sake of everything holy, this movie must happen…this movie needs to happen. And I think Rosario Dawson would be the perfect actress to portray Ahsoka Tano.
