Hayden Christensen, who played Anakin Skywalker in the Star Wars prequel trilogy, will attend the “40 Years of Star Wars” panel at Star Wars Celebration Orlando.
As announced by StarWars.com, actor Hayden Christensen (Anakin Skywalker) will attend the “40 Years of Star Wars” panel on April 13, day one of Celebration. Later on in the weekend he will meet fans and sign autographs.
Star Wars Celebration Orlando in April marks the first Celebration event since 2002 at which Christensen has appeared.

Christensen joins a panel of auspicious Star Wars names to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Star Wars saga. Also attending the panel is Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy; Star Wars Rebels executive producer Dave Filoni; Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker); Ian McDiarmid (Emperor Palpatine); Anthony Daniels (C-3PO); Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca); and Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian).
StarWars.com promises that the celebratory 40th anniversary panel has many surprises in store for fans. With Christensen attending, I hope one of those surprises is an announcement that Christensen will portray Anakin’s Force ghost in Episode VIII or IX. But he could also just be at Celebration to represent the prequel era.
Fans speculate that Kathleen Kennedy will announce the next standalone Star Wars film after the Han Solo movie. In that vein, recent rumors suggest an Obi-Wan Kenobi movie is in the pipeline and will be officially revealed at Celebration this year. So, whether you are attending Celebration Orlando or not, look out for news from “40 Years of Star Wars.”
