Forget Baloo and Kit Cloudkicker. Han Solo and Chewbacca rock the TaleSpin theme song just as well in this TaleSpin Star Wars mashup video.
Nostalgia is a powerful thing. Many thirty and forty-year-olds today look on the 80s and 90s as the good times, when animated shows had catchy intros and Star Wars was as popular as ever.
Now, imagine the overwhelming amount of nostalgia you could create if you combined the two.

Star Wars and TaleSpin don’t have much in common on the surface. Star Wars is an epic space opera, while TaleSpin is about bear bush pilots running for an air cargo service. But, with an “oh ee eh” and an “oh ee oh,” Han Solo, Chewbacca, and the rest of the original trilogy Star Wars cast fit perfectly into the world of StarSpin. Chewbacca isn’t really that far from a bear, and Han and Chewie are basically cargo pilots (they may be smuggling illegal goods, but it’s still cargo, right?). It’s a match made in throwback heaven.
It also makes sense from a business perspective to combine Star Wars and TaleSpin into one amazing 90s throwback show. TaleSpin is a product of Disney, and Star Wars is now owned by Disney. Star Wars has also done crossovers before; the Millennium Falcon made a cameo in The LEGO Movie, which wasn’t even produced by Disney. Why can’t it crossover into TaleSpin?
(Of course, Disney would have to revive TaleSpin, but that’s what petitions are for, people!)
