5. It’s Not On Netflix
In case you were hoping to binge-watch Star Wars Rebels on Netflix, think again. While all six seasons of Lucasfilm’s previous animated Star Wars television series, The Clone Wars, are available on the streaming network, Rebels has yet to make an appearance.

The only place you can legally stream Star Wars Rebels is on WATCH Disney XD. But WATCH Disney XD requires you to have access to a cable network, which in turn must include the Disney XD channel. If you don’t have that access, you’re forced to try to catch reruns on the channel itself. On the other hand, if you do have that access, episodes are only available for a certain amount of time, which makes it hard to binge-watch an entire season. Episodes are also interrupted by commercials, albeit briefer ones than those you see on television. The whole cable thing is potentially a frustrating, no-win situation on all fronts.
$25-30 may seem like a lot of money to shell out for a television season. Consider, though, how much money and hassle you are saving yourself. Whether you are watching Rebels reruns on television or streaming the episodes through WATCH Disney XD, you are paying a bill every month to watch them. If you buy season 2 of Rebels on Blu-Ray, however, you only pay once. After the season is yours, you can watch the episodes anytime you want. No commercials, no fees, no struggling with faulty WiFi. Just pop the disc in your Blu-Ray player and start enjoying Star Wars.
