Actor Warwick Davis, who played Wicket in Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, has confirmed that he will appear in Star Wars: Episode VIII…

Speaking with News.com.au, actor Warwick Davis discussed two films that had a major impact on his acting career: Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi and Willow. During the interview, Davis was asked about J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and he had some thoughts:

"“There were some wonderful moments, some moving moments and it was full of all the action that we expect, so for me it ticked all the boxes, I loved it. And I think it sets up the trilogy very well.”"

Davis also mentioned the fact that Star Wars: Episode VIII could be moving in the direction of Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, with Episode VIII possible ending in a cliffhanger:

"“Obviously we’re moving into the territory of Episode VIII very soon as well, and much like Empire Strikes Back I’m sure it’s going to deliver some quite impactful story moments, and it’ll leave us with some cliffhangers as well which resolve in Episode IX.”"

Finally, Davis was asked if he would appear in Star Wars: Episode VIII:

"“I do, yes. That’s all I can say.”"

So there you have it, Warwick Davis will appear in Star Wars: Episode VIII, but for now, we have no idea what role he will be playing.
