According to an all-new report, three stars have read for the female lead in the young Han Solo film…

Variety is now reporting that three young stars have read for the role of female lead to  Alden Ehrenreich’s young Han Solo in directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s Han Solo film, which will be the second Star Wars standalone movie.

According to the site, these are the three stars who have read for the part and tested in London, for the female lead in the Han Solo film.

  • Tessa Thompson — Selma and Creed
  • Naomi Scott — Power Rangers
  • Zoe Kravitz — X-Men: Days of Future Past and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Variety notes that this is the second round of testing:

"With production not starting till early 2017, directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller have taken their time in meeting with talent for the mystery female character as well as the role of Lando Calrissian. This would mark the second round of tests; a previous round took place earlier this summer. While it seems like a decision is on the horizon, sources it could still be a couple weeks till one is made."

There’s also the role for a young Lando Calrissian, that is still up in the air. Reports are saying that FX’s Atlanta creator and star, Donald Glover, has read and tested for the role, and may very well be the leading candidate for young Lando, but that  but Disney/Lucasfilm still want a second round of testing to be done, in order to be certain about their choice.
