For those unfamiliar with Wedge Antilles, here’s a quick primer:
Wedge Antilles started out as a cadet at the Empire’s Skystrike Academy, where he trained as an elite TIE Fighter pilot. Wedge was well known as an ace pilot, and he used his skills for the Rebellion, once he defected.
Wedge also fought in the Battle of Yavin, where he flew in Red Squadron with Luke Skywalker. Later, Wedge joined Rogue Squadron, and he and his gunner became the first pilots to destroy an AT-AT. Wedge rose through the ranks of the Alliance to Restore the Republic, and during the Battle of Endor, he led Red Squadron, where, with the help of Lando Calrissian, he was instrumental in the destruction of the second Death Star.
