Actor Diego Luna Says Rogue One will be Told Through the Eyes of Jyn Erso
Actor Diego Luna will portray Captain Cassian Andor in December’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and the actor recently made a comment that the entire movie will be told through the eyes of Felicity Jones’ character, Jyn Erso…
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is a mere month and 16 days away from debuting in theaters worldwide. The marketing push for the film is at an all-time high, and the actors and actresses for the film are beginning to make the rounds to various online magazines and late night talk shows.
In that vein, actor Diego Luna, who portrays Captain Cassian Andor in Rogue One, sat down with the Mexican version of Vanity Fair, and talked about his experiences filming Rouge One: A Star Wars Story, and went so far as to say that the film’s story would be told through the eyes of the heroine of Rogue One, Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones). Website Star Wars News Net translated the interview into English, so we tip our hat to them.
Luna first talks about not expecting the role, and how he was completely excited to get on set and start filming:

"I didn’t see it coming. I was so excited and I needed some time to relax and realize what happened. When I went to the set, I wanted to take a picture of everything. The shooting was really intense."
He then promises that Star Wars fans will notice Easter Eggs from previous Star Wars films and characters in Rogue One:
"The movie is full of references, small tributes and characters that fall in this chronology of events."
That is most certainly exciting! I wonder just how far down the nostalgic rabbit hole Director Gareth Edwards went, in regards to Easter Eggs to Star Wars characters, in Rogue One? Here’s where he mentions the part about Rogue One being told through Jyn Erso’s eyes:

"The story in the movie is seen through the eyes of Jyn Erso."
This does make sense. Every trailer and piece of information about the film points to the fact that Jyn Erso is the key to stealing the plans to the original Death Star. And, when you consider her father, Galen Erso, is scientist behind the construction, and who sends the transmission to the Rebel Alliance, then it all begins to come together as Jyn Erso’s story.
