Donnie Yen’s Son Dressed as Chirrut Îmwe from Rogue One and He Looked Awesome
Halloween may be over, but that hasn’t stopped folks from sharing their awesome Star Wars themed costumes on social media. Actor Donnie Yen is no different, and he shared a photo of his son dressed as Chirrut Îmwe, his own character from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and it was awesome…
We are 43 days away from the worldwide theatrical debut of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, but we’re only a few days removed from Halloween. In that regard, Star Wars fans the world over have been flocking to social media to share their Star Wars themed Halloween costumes with like-minded others, and Rogue One actor, Donnie Yen, as it turns out, is no different.
Yen took to Instagram and shared a photo of his son dressed as Chirrut Îmwe, Yen’s own character from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and the costume was amazing. Check it out:

The Star Wars themed Halloween costumes didn’t stop there, as Yen’s daughter got into the festivities and dressed as a Stormtrooper:

While Yen’s daughter’s Stormtrooper costume is very cool, his son’s Chirrut Îmwe costume takes the prize. The attention to detail both on the costume and staff just make it so awesome.
In Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Donnie Yen’s character, Chirrut Îmwe, believes all living things are connected through the Force. The fact that he is blind does not prevent him from being a highly skilled fighter.

And, even though he doesn’t have Force abilities, Chirrut Îmwe has made his body a fine-tuned fighting machine, through intense physical and mental training. Rogue One hits theaters worldwide on December 16.
