We grow closer and closer to the worldwide theatrical debut of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and today, as part of the marketing push for the film, and all-new Rogue One featurette for the film has been released…
We are a mere 29 days away from the worldwide theatrical premiere of the very first Star Wars standalone film, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Today, we’ve already had a gift in the way of two all-new international Rogue One TV spots, and now, thanks to the official Star Wars UK YouTube page, as have a rather interesting Rogue One featurette. Check it out:
I love that Gareth Edwards shows the opening crawl of A New Hope and how it directly correlates to the story of Rogue One. There’s also a few great shots of U-Wings taking down the Imperial AT-ACT’s in here, and that’s pretty darn awesome as well.
From Lucasfilm comes the first of the Star Wars standalone films, “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” an all-new epic adventure. In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves. In theaters December 2016. – StarWars.com
