Entertainment Weekly will publish a massive Star Wars themed issue on December 9, and they are calling it The Ultimate Guide to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story…

As we approach the worldwide theatrical premiere of the very first Star Wars standalone film, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Entertainment Weekly has announced that on December 9, it will publish a massive Star Wars themed issue called The Ultimate Guide to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

"In EW’s new cover story, we explore how Rogue One, the first stand-alone story in the franchise (out Dec. 16), aims to change things by bringing a grittier, battlefield tone to the fantasy series. But it’s also clinging to the heart of what all Star Wars movies are: A celebration. Of friendship. Of loyalty. Of family. Of hope."

As part of its massive Star Wars issue on December 9, EW will interview the team planning future Star Wars films, and what happened during their meeting in January to mark out films well beyond 2019’s Star Wars: Episode IX. We also spoke with Oscar-winning composer Michael Giacchino.

EW is also interviewing Oscar-winning composer Michael Giacchino (Doctor Strange) — who ended up becoming a last-minute addition to the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story team — about his approach to scoring the film, and how he describes it as the galactic version of World War II music.
